Ebert's File/Interesting Stuff
The below info was taken from posts made to the scifi.com Bboard made
by Eberts (Mike McCafferty) and Sardon (Greg Tsadilas- VFX Supervisor/Animator on IM).
So when "I" appears in the posts, its Eberts or Sardon speaking not me.
And all of the Eberts files are in order of episodes
aired.
The Interesting Stuff that doesn't fit
with Eberts posts.

PILOT
*
The pilot was shot in August of 1999 in San Diego and Tijuana. The
other episodes began to be filmed in April of
2000
(in and around San Diego, CA as far as I know).
* The first day
of shooting was in the Official's office. The office was located on
the third and fifth floors of the
Spreckles Building
in San Diego.
* Matt Greenburg (writer/exec-producer
of IM) has a cameo in the Lab scene (the scene where Darien
steals a pen
from him to escape
the shackles).
* Fohn (as in Arnauld
De Fohn) really does mean Savage Alpine Wind and Hairdryer. Matt Greenburg
(writer/exec-producer of IM) discovered
this double meaning during his research.
THE CATEVARI
*
For the VCR-hounds, in the last scene
is a picture on The Official's desk. Not sure if you can make it out clearly,
but it is a interesting picture of The Official. It was to be used this episode but won't make an appearance until
much later.
* The
fish tank in the Keeper's Keep (seen in the last shot) has three real piranhas.
Also in the Keeper's Keep is a
tank with about 4 or 5 scorpions, one with a chameleon, one with a lizard, one with an albino snake, another
with
a boa constrictor, another snake and crickets to nourish some of the
beasties.
RALPH
* It wasn't shown in Ralph, but the Agency used a slide
projector circa 1978 (for the slide show). In fact, most
everything
in the office is outdated or out of stock. Except post-it notes.......
* Originally,
the bird killed was to be a spotted owl.
* Hobbes had a
funny ad-lib about knowing one of the women in the slide show.
* The Official's
Badge number is 7071.
